Today I'm bring a very tasty and great recipe for these cold days. Some pumpkin muffins with crumble that are really a blast. There's nothing better than some very sweet, fluffy, crumbly muffins. Yes, they're super crunchy because the crumble is the king of this recipe! Lately I've been obsessed with pumpkin recipes. I've always liked it, but I've never been much of a pumpkin buyer. Let's be honest, they're huge, super hard to cut and peel and just looking at them, oh what a laziness!

Cardamom Buns

December 23th, 2020

Living in the Nordic countries has some good things. One of them is the smell of cardamom buns everywhere! I've never been enthusiastic about this kind of cakes, but since I started getting to know better the culture and gastronomy of the Nordic countries, I've been hooked. They are super fluffy, caramelized, full of cinnamon and cardamom and are a beautiful way to spend the winter time. After all, some cardamom rolls with a hot tea or hot chocolate... hmmm Can you really resist?

Creamy Rice Pudding

December 17th, 2020

In this Christmas season there is nothing like a creamy rice pudding to compose the festivities table. I admit this is one of the traditional desserts I love the most and I just can't resist. There are countless variations of this recipe, depending on who makes it. There are those who make it more creamy, less creamy, with or without butter, with or without eggs, with cream, with cinnamon, with nutmeg, with the most varied types of rice, with vermicelli, in short... there are even those who put almonds!

Cheese Bread with Cured Cheese

9 de December, 2020

Today's menu brings us some Cured Cheese Breads. If I had to choose the snacks that I love the most, the ones I can't resist at all, I would definetly choose these little cheese breads. Just out of the oven. awww.... how wonderful! I'm those kind of people who pick them up while still burning hot. Well, yeah, I always end up getting burned, but it's okay! This time, I tried making these cured cheese breads. Instead of using grated mozzarella, I used the Lactimonte cured cheese balls.

Almond and Chocolate Granola

3 de December, 2020

The Christmas season is officially open and that means thinking about gifts for the family. How about a homemade almond and chocolate granola? I've always liked to make homemade gifts and I'm more and more keen on doing that. There is nothing like offering something homemade, with a lot of love, something that is actually special. I have been offering gifts made by me. Usually food, but not only! And I really feel that they are much more valued than ordinary gifts that we can buy anywhere.

Roasted Chestnuts

November 23, 2020

It's that time of the year... The streets are invaded with the smell of roasted chestnuts, the cold days arrived and it's time to put on the fuzzy coats that have been kept in the closets for so long! This year I won't smell the roasted chestnuts in the street, nor will I feel that wonderful feeling of eating the freshly baked chestnuts while walking through the streets of Lisbon. But I won't loose my chance of eating my yummi roasted chestnuts, which I like so much!

Cottage Cheesecake
